Karla Starr as an excellent piece in the Seattle Weekly called: 22,000 Songs and Nothing to Listen To.  Karla tries to figure what impact having so many music choices will have.  She's done her leg work - lots of commentary by people who think about this stuff a lot. Here's a choice quote by Dan Levitin:  "the average 14-year-old can hear more music in a month than someone would have heard in an entire lifetime just 300 years ago"
