That Good Looking Search Guy points me to this entry at Geeking With Greg about  the course page for  CS345: Data Mining being taught at Stanford.  Quite a few interesting slide decks including  Recommender Systems, Locality-Sensitive Hashing  and clustering (1) (2).

Comments:

Paul, was it Stephen Green that pointed you to those slides? Or my post here? http://glinden.blogspot.com/2006/11/excellent-data-mining-lecture-notes.html I looked at Stephen's blog and didn't find anything about the course there. No worries, just curious what Stephen might have said about the slides, but I couldn't find any post from him about it.

Indeed, Steve sent me an email with a link to the Stanford lectures in a personal email. Of course, he saw it first on Geeking with Greg - I've added the a link back to the source. Thanks for the tip (and the latest yahoo memo is interesting too!)

This is a minor point, but it's spelled "Stanford".
