The importance of steerability
At first, I was not excited abut our poster location assignment during
the ISMIR late-breaking/demo session. It seemed to be an out of the way
corner of the venue - but we did seem to get a steady stream of
visitors (mostly male) and nearly everyone would stay for 30 seconds to a
minute while reading the poster - you really can't ask for more than
that. You could see that for these folks, steerability was especially
important.
