Today I used google to search for "music
information retrieval". The usual and expected links come up.
Interestingly, however, was that the first 'sponsored link' was Work at Google. Perhaps Google is finally starting to think about MIR.

It is also possible that they are targeting you.
Especially with the knowledge of what you've been searching for in a
past they can be pretty much aware of area of your interests and
corellate those interests with their own need. Big brother is watching
you. ;-)
